Mental Health and Wellbeing
As we face the emerging cost-of-living crisis; the disadvantaged communities are at a greater risk of poor wellbeing and social isolation. The aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic has also worsened the situation with disproportionate effects across different communities. To help improve the well-being of those within marginalised communities, we focus on three elements: mental health, healthy eating, and physical activity. We ensure we provide free support services and activities that help to reduce isolation, foster positive connections, improve wellbeing, and build resilience. We are committed to pursuing evidence-based programmes and innovative approaches to support the community's growth, especially for lower socioeconomic groups.
Random Acts of Kindness Approach
1
Reduce Isolation
To help reduce isolation we have adopted the random acts of kindness approach where we provide kindness acts that generate a greater impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, especially young people, disadvantaged families, and the elderly who feel isolated and lonely. These vary from activities, events, food parcels, or trips. Our goal is to bring people together in kindness and help communities recover, rebuild and thrive.
2
Rebuild Strong Positive Connetions
To help rebuild positive connections we empower neighbours to positively give back to their communities especially the elderly that have reduced mobility. We have delivered food hampers with help from the local Councillors and residents. This has helped to rebuild strong positive connections within the local community. We have seen neighbours help to deliver food hampers to the elderly during the cost of living crisis.
3
Improving mental wellbeing
The simple act of randomly putting a smile on someone's face is priceless. Our aim is to improve people's mental wellbeing through kindness and make it the norm. The impact of bringing people together from different age groups, diverse cultures and beliefs also helps to reduce antisocial behaviours. The random acts approach has gained momentum and the communities are getting involved to help and make sure those that need it the most benefit from it
Improving Wellbeing
We operate a community kitchen provides free, nutritious meals to anyone in need.

Purpose: To combat hunger, reduce isolation, and promote a sense of community through the provision of free meals

It is not just about food it is about creating a welcoming space where people can gather, feel supported, and build community. The kitchen fosters inclusivity by offering a place where individuals from all backgrounds can connect, share a meal, and feel a sense of belonging.
